Covolt is a fast-growing knowledge-based organization that bridges technology and sustainable energy. Using smart software and AI, we optimize energy systems for our clients and contribute to the energy transition. We work out of our brand-new, energy-efficient office in Veghel and are increasingly expanding our international operations.

Finance Director
The finance organization plays a crucial role in supporting this growth. As Finance Director, you will lead a team of financial administrators and business controllers, serve as a strategic advisor on the Management Team, and ensure a solid financial foundation for everything we do.

Being there for each other, going the extra mile and making a difference together, that's our team.

Would you?

  • Want to be part of an ambitious, international growth strategy?
  • How can we transform finance from a support function into a strategic one?
  • Want to coach a team and take it to the next level?
  • And really make a difference in the direction an organization takes?

As Finance Director at Covolt, you’re more than just the guardian of the numbers. You’ll shape our financial strategy, mentor a team of finance professionals, and contribute to executive-level discussions about Covolt’s growth—both nationally and internationally.

What will you do?

In this broad, strategic role, you will be responsible for Covolt’s financial health, transparency, and management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, coaching, and developing the finance team (financial administrators and business controllers).
  • Coordinate a timely and reliable reporting process, including monthly and annual reports, in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Developing and managing an international financial structure, including transfer pricing policies, intercompany settlements, and tax optimization.
  • Managing financial planning and control processes: budgets, cash management, forecasts, long-term plans, and consolidations.
  • Improving and automating financial processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Determining the financing strategy and maintaining relationships with external financiers.
  • Supporting international expansion decisions through financial feasibility studies, business cases, and scenario analyses.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive board and management team on financial and tax matters.

‍Do you recognize yourself?

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Economics, Accounting, or Management Accounting.
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the field, preferably in the SME+ segment.
  • You have several years of management experience and know how to develop and motivate a team.
  • You have knowledge of international tax structures, transfer pricing, and cross-border finance.
  • You have extensive experience with business administration, financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
  • You have knowledge of and experience with process optimization and automation.
  • You have extensive knowledge of tax matters (income tax, VAT, financial reporting requirements, internal control measures).
  • You're curious about how AI can be used to improve financial processes.
  • You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Then we offer you:

  • A key strategic role in an ambitious, fast-growing organization driving the energy transition.
  • A position on the executive team, with direct influence over Covolt’s direction.
  • Take charge of your own development—there’s plenty of room to grow alongside the organization.
  • Ability to work from home several days a week.
  • Access to courses and training programs to keep your knowledge up to date.
  • A competitive salary (pay grade 9) supplemented by excellent benefits.
  • Personal financial pension plan.
  • 27 days of vacation based on full-time employment, plus an extra day off on your birthday.
  • 8% vacation allowance.
  • Fun Friday afternoon get-togethers, creative team outings, and a company laptop.
